A Central Dublin Base for EU Presidency 2026
From July to December 2026, Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the eighth time, marking an important period for both the country and its capital as Dublin welcomes a significant programme of official meetings, international visits and events. Throughout the six-month Presidency, Irish Ministers and officials will chair Council meetings and lead discussions across key European policy areas, while representing the Presidency in engagement with other EU institutions.
